I am on my third DonJoy knee brace. This one is all Carbon Fiber and it fits wonderfully except for the chaffing. I have had other leg and knee sleeves and I just got my Bracsox two days ago and put it on right away. I wanted to see what all the hype was about. It is incredible. It wicks the sweat away and dries quickly, it also prevents chaffing. Thank you for creating a product that is even more comfortable then the ones given to me by doctors. I intend to order even more.

I got some awesome BraceSox with Icarus Medical logos on them to accompany the new Icarus Ascender multi-compartment unloader braces that I got from the VA. I didn't realize how comfortable they would feel against my skin, although I rarely need them with the amazing 3D custom design of the braces. As an added bonus they've kept my legs warm when I go out for a walk or jog during the winter. And since my new braces, I can actually do that more often! Thanks so much!

I am going to try hard to buy only made in America when possible. God bless you and your company. I love your product. When I needed my knee brace after my accident it was a God send. It made wearing that brace bearable! Thank you!??

I just bought my first new Bracesox since the early 1990s (when Anne first started!)— to replace a few that I’ve lost over the years.  My first sleeves are 28 years old and still going strong. Thanks, Anne, for making such a durable, high-quality product—that continues to help me hike, bike, ski, and generally stay on my feet!

Received my pair of knee bracesox yesterday. Very fast delivery. So far they are working great! Makes the knee brace so much more comfortable. Wish I had found out about these years ago. I highly recommend them. I have the solid neoprene slide on type knee brace. Just have to slide the sox into the brace before sliding the brace and sox over the knee. Thanks for a great product :)

Anne

I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate all your help in getting my daughter, Mary Russell, the correct bracesox for cheer camp.  As I mentioned in an earlier email, last year she was miserable.  Her knee brace from her left leg cut into her right leg, and she had a terrible time trying to cheer with the cut on that leg.  In addition, the brace caused chafing on both legs.  Needless to say, when she got home last year, she could barely walk.  Well this year was a totally different story.  She wore the bracesox, and it made all the difference in the world!  The construction of this product is perfect as the fold-over at the top protects her right leg while the sock below the brace prevents chafing on the left leg.  She was so much more comfortable and had no chafing or abrasion from her brace.  It was such a success!! I am so happy that I searched the Internet for your product and was able to secure it for her before she went to camp.  It made all the difference in the world!  Each week she cheered last year, I dreaded the after effects of the brace when she got home from a pep rally or game.  I knew that we would spend the weekend powdering and covering the places on her leg that had been cut by the brace.  Thankfully, that will not be the case this year, her senior year!  In addition, I won't worry during tennis season as she will have the bracesox to protect her legs!  This is truly a wonderful product!

In addition, I want to thank you for helping us get the right size by sending not one but two bracesox to replace the wrong size that we ordered.  Your customer service is exceptional, and I will recommend your product and company to anybody that I see wearing a brace.  You and your products really make a difference in the lives of people that have to wear a brace because of an injury!

Thank you again for everything!

Sincerely,

Wendy Perry

Hi Anne, thank you for your quick response. I have begun to try your wonderful Bracesox this weekend. I think they fit very well. They are snug and smooth and feel so comfortable! Before trying your Bracesox, I was using unbleached muslin strips left over from a previous arthroscopic knee surgeries. Your Bracesox feel like the epitome of class and luxury after that.

I wear the braces to help repair a problem with hyper extension of my knees. Your Bracesox are already helping by making the use of the braces much more comfortable. I have been wearing braces for over three years and no one ever suggested anything like Bracesox. I plan to spread the word anytime I can! They make such a big difference.

I was supplied with an Ossur sleeve (at a higher cost), which I found to be very uncomfortable due to the elastic band.  The material was also inferior in my opinion to your Powerdry.

Oh my gosh! I certainly didn't expect for you to do all this!! Thank you so much...Being that I am hoping to put off surgery for a good many years, thus will be spending a lot of time in my brace, you definitely have a repeat customer here.

I've worn a long leg brace since I got polio 60 years ago. I just discovered Bracesox. I am immediately much more comfortable in my brace. While designed for use under a knee brace, the Bracesox fits perfectly over my thigh, over my knee, and down my calf where it ends just above my sock. I'm beyond thrilled.

Deb A.

October 13, 2015

I have found the Bracesox is suitable for long leg braces, like post-polio braces. There are plenty of us folks out there who will buy Bracesox if we know they work so well under long leg braces.

Thank you for allowing me to try out your BRACESOX made from the new material (91/9% poltester/Lycra). On my recent trip to the eastern Sierras, I wore both the older style Powerdry BRACESOX and a BRACESOX made from the newer material under my knee brace. I alternated between the two types of sock while I was backpacking and day hiking in both cool and hot weather.

One thing for sure: I’ll never use my brace again without wearing a BRACESOX. I’ve worn a knee brace for over 20 years. I couldn’t hike without it. The brace has always worked well, but the standard cotton liner I have used has always been uncomfortable and a real hassle to use. By comparison, the BRACESOXs were comfortable, did not bunch up, and dried quickly. I expected the BRACESOXs to be hot on warm days, but they weren’t. With both materials, I essentially  forgot I was wearing them.

Thank you so much for all of your help, and for getting the product to us so quickly. The Bracesox are excellent and have made a huge difference in terms of keeping my son's brace (knee imobilizer) in place.

Thank you again!  We really appreciate it!

I just had to write and let you know that my husband absolutely loves his Bracesox.  We received them in Tuesday's mail (great service, by the way, thank you) and he wore one yesterday with his brace.  He had been having problems with chaffing from the brace and said yesterday he had no problems at all !!!

He's scheduled for knee replacement surgery in 6 - 8 months (AFTER golfing season, of course :-)  In order to ensure he always has a clean sox available (especially over the summer) I will likely be ordering two more.

Thank you so very much for the excellent service and we certainly will recommend your product to others.

Thank you so much for the bracesox. I do want a tighter fit for running, I am so glad you understand.  I am still trying my best to continue running after 2 knee surgeries in 2 years, and only a runner would understand why! I would really like to have it before my next run on February 7th.

I just wanted you to know that my Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Mark Greenberg, All Star Orthopaedics recommended your company to me.  A few of his running patients found your website and have been raving about the results.

Prayers to you and your company for a successful 2015 and thank you again,

Yippee! I really love the new 'wicking' Bracesox. It's very cool and never stays wet. I've hiked with it three times now for a total of about 15 miles and over 5,000 feet of vertical gain - so relatively strenuous hiking and it performs really well!

Thanks!

Thank you very much. The sleeves we bought have been great. My son noticed a difference the first time he put one on under his brace. His basketball season is in full swing and he is using the sleeves almost daily. Thank you for a great product and for the customer care.

Anne Adams:

In April, my wife (Bev) and I visited your shop and purchased a Bracesox for use under a wrist brace. I had ligament tears from a fall from my bike. We bought two of the Medium Supplex/Lycra Wrist Undersleeve.

I want you to know how much I have appreciated having the undersleeve. It added comfort by limiting chaffing from the brace. Its "wicking" attribute made exercise more comfortable and limited the "dryout" time required for the brace after completing exercise. I showed it to Dr. Jennifer Schnieder, Orthopedic Surgery at Palo Alto Medical Foundation. She had not seen one before and I suggested it should be offered to patients routinely for comfort under braces of all kinds. I would be happy to provide comments to PAMF if it will help you.

When we bought the Bracesox, you also gave me a new model that was lighter in weight. The composition was 90% cotton and 10% lycra. (The number 800-898-KNEE is on the label, but that may be a phone number.) I also liked this thinner version, but for different reasons. Compared to the thicker version, it was a bit too light for daytime effectiveness. However, it was more comfortable for sleeping. I appreciate your giving me the chance to try it out.

You have good products. I'm a fan! Thanks.

I just wanted to say THANK YOU for all the help you gave me in ordering my brace sleeve. I really like it so much better than those thick, hot ones. You went above and beyond in courtesy and helpfulness which is rare in this day and age. I will be using this sleeve from now on. Thanks again!

August 11, 2012

I placed this order earlier today but forgot to add this email to the comments selection, could you please courtesy copy this email with all information pertaining to this order. Thank you.

Also I am ordering these because I received one pair with my Breg braces. I have bi-lateral OA and wear my braces 16 hours a day. I cannot stand to have my braces on without the brace sox. Thank you for making an affordable product. I searched the web when I was researching my braces and no one had a pair of under sleeves in an affordable price range. The called in price was a single sleeve for the price of a pair of your product.

Hi Anne,

Bracesox, The Original, Inc. has been around for some time. In fact anyone who wears a brace should thank Anne Adams, the President of the company, for inventing a product that makes every hour your stuck strapped in a brace more comforting. When I wore the original Bracesox I'm sure, if my poor wounded knee could smile, it would. Before I used Bracesox I used to get skin irritations that were no fun; Bracesox changed all that.

Well guess what? Anne Adams has invented a new product that's even more amazing. It's similar to the original Bracesox but something magic has been added. Her new Bracesox is called PowerDry. It's slippery smooth on the skin and saves getting those irritating little abrasions that can occur even better. I'm not sure how she did it, but she's come up with a terrific addition to her Bracesox line of products. Thanks.
-------------

Hope that's useful for PowerDry. Thanks again for sending me PowerDry; it truly is a wonderful product.

Continued success,

David K.

Dear Anne,

Hello.

I recently bought a Donjoy hinged knee brace, I have since found out the hard way that I need a knee under-sleeve for it to be usable.

I live in the sub-tropics, (Queensland, Australia) and I can see that you recommend supplex/lycra for humid environments, I would love to buy a number of your under-sleeves but have yet to work out how and where to purchase them online, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance,

Paul N.

Dear Anne,

I just received the cotton/lycra knee sox and it works great. Thank you so much for your time and patience. I really appreciate all your efforts, you are a rarity.

PS. I liked it so much, I have ordered more.

Thank you,

June 9, 2009

Thanks, Anne.

This is the only way I will wear my brace. This is my second reorder from you. I should have ordered sooner. I had to go back to my physical therapist for another reason and I suggested to them they should always suggest using the Bracesox. If fact they were not aware of the fact that the Bracesox should be worn as many would consider inside out. It has been 5 years for me!

February 20, 2009

Anne:

Thank you very much for the call the other day. My wife was impressed when I said you were the founder of Bracesox. As I mentioned in my order, I am super happy with the PowerDry material.

I had an early sleeve that had a gray material in the inside and it wore extremely well. The only trouble I had with it was the stitching came unraveled in a place or two.

Then I received the PowerDry sleeve and it is perfect. After three years the elasticity is a little loose but the stitching and the material are perfect. I hand wash it almost every night and it dries in less than an hour if hung in a breeze.

I wore it last May into the Peten jungle of Guatemala, hiked 10 miles in 105 degree heat and then climbed a 230 foot Maya temple at Tikal called Temple IV. I have attached two photos - one shows Temple IV in the distance and the other is my wife and I surviving the hike and climb to the top of Temple IV. The sleeve did not allow any chaffing and wicked away perspiration quickly.

I have had numerous people ask me where I got the red sleeve and I told them about Bracesox but that this was a test sleeve. I am so glad to hear you will be getting some colors. I even took a brand new sleeve to Ambergris Caye in Belize to a custom tailor to see if she could make me something in a bright flashy tropical design and color. Unfortunately she said it would be a waste of my money because the material would not be as good as what I already had.

So I wanted to let you know that you already have at least one customer standing in line for your first sleeve in color. Please feel free to use me as a reference as to how good your sleeves really are.

Best Regards,

David B.

February 7, 2009

A couple years ago you sent me a test RED Dryline II extra-large sleeve to try. I have worn it in the Guatemalan jungle on a 10 mile hike in 105 degree heat and climbed a 23 story Maya Temple at Iikal. The sleeve was AMAZING. I would be happy to pay extra for any color other than black -the louder the color the better.

PS: I may be old (57), fat, have braces on both knees and limp but there are still a lot of things I want to do before knee replacements. Your sleeves make it a lot more comfortable.

Best Regards,

David B.

December 17, 2008

Anne,

Thank you so much for sending the extra brace undersleeves! You have been such a great help. It took me a few minutes after our phone conversation to get on your website and review the history of your Great product and company. It is truly an inspiring story and I am very impressed with your devotion to your kids and deciding to go into a business that you could be the kind of Mom you knew you wanted to be. That is not so common in these days in which we live.

What I believed to be a horrible "life sentence" of wearing this brace and potentially another, has turned into something much more "bearable" with the use of your wrist undersleeve. I've only worn this product for a few hours, but it's definitely made for a Great day so far! The last few weeks have been crazy trying to get a product that wouldn't leave my hand/arm soaked and thoroughly red and blistered. Again, thank you so much and I plan on recommending your product to as many people as I know who are wearing a brace of some sort.

Have a Blessed afternoon and a Great Christmas!

Kevin A.

April 24, 2008

Anne,

Thank you for getting them in the mail so fast. They really have been a lifesaver. I was so frustrated with wearing my brace before I found these. Yes, you may put my comments on your website, and i am glad to be able to support such a wonderful family business. It is amazing that you took an experience such as living with having to wear braes and turned it into something that could help so many.

Thank you,

Kimberly F.

October 13, 2007

I really love my Bracesox, I have worn my braces without the Bracesox, and it is not very comfortable, especially when you wear the braces for hours at a time, and I have a brace for each knee. I want to say thank you so very much for coming up with this great idea for us brace wearers, it means a lot to me because of the comfort it provides me while having to wear the braces for me to be pain free. I would love to test any new products that you come up with, and I look forward to the pants that have a zipper on the side to be able to adjust the brace, without having to undress to get to the brace, keep the great ideas coming.

I ordered one a week or so ago, they are incredible, I did not think I was going to be able to wear my brace but with the sleeve it is now possible.

November 8, 2006

Dear Anne,

I thoroughly enjoyed meeting you at the Abilities Fair last weekend. More than that, I LOVE the Bracesox that I came home with!  As I told you, I wear my long leg brace 24 hours a day, and, after wearing your Bracesox for 12 hours, I cannot stand going without it. With the sock, I do not have the little pinches that occur so frequently when I am moving. When I take the sock off and have to put my brace back on my "naked" leg, my leg feels sticky and my brace does not slide up and down my leg nearly as well as it does with the sock on it. Without the sock, I am also much more aware of the awful "brace smell" that I thought was just a part of wearing a brace. I wish to that I had met your Bracesox before I got this newest brace, because I'll bet that I could have kept that odor from ever developing.

I am washing the sock by hand, and drying it in the dryer. Everyday.

Please send me quotes for 3 or 4 long leg socks, size medium. Do you make them in white as well as black? Do you make them in summer and winter nights (cooler and warmer)? I am anxious to try your new, wicking material. Please consider this request for one undersleeve as soon as possible, and a quote on several more. I am enclosing a check for $50 to start my account as I prefer to pay by check. I have requested an Rx from my doctor both to tell him about your product, and (hopefully) to save sales tax.

Thank you so much for your great product.

Sincerely,

Linda

October 12, 2006

Anne, I finally got my pair of Bracesox Tuesday and wore one yesterday under my Breg unloader brace. I had a busy day with a long drive in the morning to a weaving class - which had me on my feet for three hours straight - home after many hours of errands in town, and then to my planning board meeting last night. In all, about thirteen hours straight on the road, standing, walking, driving, and very happy with your product in the process. I almost forgot I was wearing my brace...

On its first trial, I found the Supplex very comfortable in my daily routine. It will get its first real test in the do jang when I go in for my workout tonight. I am probably not your typical athletic client, but am a fifty-two-year-old woman trying to recover my fitness after too many years of neglect. My knee injury (from three years ago) was partly a cause and partly an effect.

Tae Kwon Do is my means of getting back into "fighting" shape, so to speak. I started in April, had to detour briefly for a knee procedure in September, but will still be halfway to my black belt by Christmas.

We own and operate three farms in VA and NC, and I just found out this week that our youngest daughter is moving back to a house in one of them in about three weeks, so we have an entire "to do" list to refurbish it in that amount of time. The next older daughter just returned home from North Dakota with eleven new horses, and I think she's got plans for me to help do ground work on the young ones. Our son's ewes will be lambing - thus needing someone to walk pasture checks - soon. Besides that, I have a husband who wants me back on my motorcycle so we can enjoy our rides together once more.

I find your "sox" to be an added comfort as I adjust to life with my "replacement parts." While I wish I didn't need such support, I am glad to know that there are people out there to help me since I definitely do.

I just completed my order for a second pair, so I will always have a spare...I look forward to working with you and your company for many active years to come.

Sincerely,

Nancy ("Kay") W.

November 17, 2005

I love my brace sox and regret that I did not find them a year ago. Not one doctor or brace retailer mentioned them. You would do the orthopedic world a great favor if you aggressively marketed these sleeves. I'm looking forward to the welts on my leg disappearing and know that there must be other brace wearers out there who wished they could find a workable brace sleeve.

Thank you.

Jeannie S.

Your product is WONDERFUL - My OT gave me 1 (and I've had no more pressure sores!!!!!) so I want spares! TYTYTYTYTY!!

August 21, 2005

Thanks so much. Just a little FYI, my orthotics person told me I shouldn't wear a sleeve under my brace because it would cause it to slip. By the time I got home I couldn't believe how uncomfortable the brace was because of the straps digging in. So I called and said I needed a sleeve of some kind. She ordered me a neoprene "thing" that was, by itself, a brace. Even though it was my size, it was too short, and was thick and hot and felt like a tourniquet. You would think an orthotics expert would be familiar with your product. I had been looking at the Bracesox and should've told her to order several of them for me. I know it is just what I need. I have a suggestions. I would put in BIG letters on your website, "Ask your orthotic expert to specifically order the Bracesox." And my insurance, like most, would’ve covered it. This "thing" she ordered me probably cost $50.00 and it is useless for my needs, and other people's brace needs. Thus the urgency for your Bracesox. As you know, these braces can tear your nerves up and make you crazy if they are uncomfortable. Ergo, thanks for getting it out quickly.

Nancy G.

November 16, 2004

Hi Anne:

I wanted to thank you for the postcard and the personal note on it. I took your advice and ordered a Breg instead of the Omni. I'm very glad to say, you were right. It seems to hold the knee joint more securely, bend with the joint more naturally and I feel less fatigue in my knee after activity. I wanted to thank you so much for the tip. I had my Omni for almost 11 years and I'll probably have the Breg about as long.

Because I bought the brace, I got another of your sox. I got a cotton one this time, so I'll be able to compare them for myself! It's really a wonderful product, but I don't need three. So I've decided to gift one to a close friend, who I believe I mentioned to you. He wears bilateral braces both Omni's) and is ready for a replacement. I'm going to show him my new Breg. He'll probably be converted as well!

It was really nice to make your acquaintance. Best wishes in all of your endeavors.

Sincerely,

Mario C.

September 9, 2004

I was thrilled to stumble upon your website. The Bracesox is something I've needed for a while but didn't realize they existed.

I severed my ACL about 20 years ago and incurred meniscus damage a few years after that. I currently use a custom made CTI fiberglass brace that is constantly slipping on me, so this would help tremendously.

I am relatively short (with an inseam of about 23 inches tops) but have thick legs. My mid-upper thigh measured about 19" around. Using your measurement guidelines, I need a sock that is not more than 15" long. Will a custom sized sock fit this situation? I often have problems with things not only fitting in length but in diameter as well. Also, are the custom prices different? Can I order through the mail or is it only available on-line?

I would like to order as soon as possible. Looking forward to hearing from you.

D. N.

August 19, 2004

Dear Anne,

I've been remiss in writing to thank you so much for sending me the 2 knee brace sox in July. Would you believe my mom arrived at my home in Elk Grove and found your package outside my door? The next day she drove back to Stanford Hospital CIRU after taking care of my business back home, and you couldn't have timed it more perfect since the next day I got my new left knee brace so I could stand on that leg with more stability. Without that Bracesox, my knee brace pinched my leg. I am so appreciative of your thoughtfulness and wonderful product. I am home since July 28, and I think of you every time I put on my special brace socks.

With love,

Connie A.

June 15, 2004

Hi Anne,

It was so nice to hear from you. I am so happy to hear that the Bledsoe Company followed through with contacting you about Bracesox. I definitely appreciate your product. I am glad to hear your knee is doing well after reconstruction. Hopefully you won't have to continue with braces for an extended time.

I am still wearing aligner braces on both knees. I had synvisc gel injections in April and Mar to both my knees. I have some improvement but not to the point that I can work without the braces. I am able to do more around the house and get out a little more so I am happy. I am still hoping to see more improvement and maybe put off having knee replacement for a while.

I really appreciate the offer for free Bracesox. I am only able to work part-time because of my limitations. Now that summer is here I could really use the lighter weight Bracesox that you let me trial. These are black on outside and gray on inside. It is so hot here in Texas that I sweat so much I need to wear a fresh pair each day to help protect my skin. The pair that you sent me were a size Large and they work well for me. I actually measure out to a size Medium. I would very happy if you were able to send 3 pair so I don't have to do laundry as frequently.

I hope you continue to do well after reconstruction. Thank you very much for the free Bracesox. If you ever want me to trial any new products I would be very happy to. Bledsoe has me checking new straps for them. I think my medical background as an ICU RN gives my opinions a little more credibility.

Sincerely,

Betty N.

November 10, 2003

My name is Betty. I have purchased your Bracesox twice and have a gray pair that I tested for you. I have 2 pairs of the original black that are 86% Supplex and 14% Lycra. I also have the gray sox that are light weight and great for the summer.

I have been wearing Bledsoe Aligner Braces for 5 months on both legs. I went to a new orthopedic surgeon and found out that my braces had not been adjusted properly and were not doing me any good, possibly even doing harm. This doctor called Bledsoe and talked to Bret Bledsoe about what I had gone through.

I was invited to go to the Bledsoe facility and be fitted for my braces by Bret Bledsoe. I wore a pair of your Bracesox and brought a pair of the gray lightweight sox with me. I also brought the sleeves that came with the braces. I explained to them that the sleeves that came with the braces had problems. The stitching came undone right away and showed them how I had to repair them. I also told them they were so short that I didn't have any protections from the upper part of the brace for my skin because they would slip down.

I told them that I had found your site on the Internet and showed them your product. I was talking to Bret Bledsoe and also James who is an engineer at the company. James and Bret were aware of your product. They also said they had heard of problems with their sleeves but didn't understand what stitching people were telling about that was coming apart. They now could see what the problem was. It was the hem at the top of the sleeve.

I was asked which Bracesox I would prefer to receive with their brace if I had a choice. I chose the black original but told them they should also sell the light weight one on their site because that was the first place I went to find more sleeves. You can't get by with one pair of sleeves when you wear braces every day. I want a clean pair every day and I don't want to wash them every night. I also said I had been wearing the black sox for 4 months and showed them how good they still looked. No problems with the stitching. They are long enough to pull up over the top of the brace. They don't fall down. They feel soft and comfortable.

I told them they can have a great product but if the patient’s skin is so sore from wearing the braces they aren't going to put them on. I am testing some new straps for their braces right now. I am an ICU RN and work 12 hour shifts but only part time because of health problems with my knees.

I just wanted to give you a heads up because I believe you have an excellent product in the brace sox. Now might be a great time to contact Bledsoe about using your product. I know James did mention some concern about cost. That is why I stressed the importance of protecting the skin so people will wear their braces. Also maybe our product could maybe sold on their Internet site because that was the first place I went to find more sleeves. It took me a longer fo find your site. I am sure other people have the same problem.

Hope you are able to get a contract with Bledsoe. I was happy to recommend your product and if you have any questions you can contact me at the number at the top of the page.

Hi Ann.

You are just too kind. And thank you for a super quick reply. I never expected to hear from you so soon. I haven't tried the new dryline II, Sounds like something I can wear while riding My bike and staying comfortable. Thank you. I purchased the supplex-lycra in the large. I wear my brace all of my awake hours, not in the showered during work outs, cross-country skiing, treadmill, shoveling snow, and at work, which is machining. I don't think I could or would wear that brace if it wasn't for your Bracesox. The brace would drive me nuts, alone. Yes, I will check out the web site and give a testimony if you want. My pleasure.

Thank you, again, for everything and I'll stay in touch.

Dear Bracesox,

I wear braces on both knees. I wear them 8 to 12 hours a day, the Bracesox is a godsend. It is just so comfortable you don't even know it's there. I will never own another brand of undersleeve. Please send me a catalog of products if possible.

Thank you,

John R.

I'm just 15 years old and I tore my ACL when I was 12 while playing basketball. I am currently using the brace for 3 years now. I cannot play without it. The brace is so irritating to the skin, itchy and sweaty that I have to wear it before the game to stabilize my knee, during the game not to injure it again and after the game. I also use it in practice and in the gym. I found out about this product and decided to try it. And it worked out great!

I am currently 7 months post-op and I will not wear my brace (Bauerfind) without a Bracesox sleeve. When I first started wearing my brace, it would really aggravate my skin, especially at the pivot points where the brace fabric would rub against my skin. When I use the Bracesox, I can wear my brae all day long without any aggravation. I ended up buying a second Bracesox to use if I was wearing my brace for sporting activities on consecutive days to allow me to clean and air dry the one I used. In a nutshell, yes, they work wonderfully for me.

Began wearing a knee brace in 1983 to protect a damaged ACL. Recently underwent ACL transplant and received a new brace, replacing my 17-yr old 'friend' with newer technology. The only 'sock' I had used previously was the cotton knit with a 'cheesecloth' look. My new Townsend brace came with a Bracesox. WOW! What a difference for the better! I liked the Bracesox so much better that I was washing it out by hand at night in order to wear it every day. When I tracked down the Bracesox company to place an additional order, I agreed to test the new Dryline II with a 'wicking' material and Bracesox included a Dryline in my order. That was about two months ago and I just ordered to more Drylines (I wear my brace every day, all day)> As the original Bracesox is worlds better than my old cotton knit, so is the new Dryline an even greater improvement. My leg stays cooler and both my leg and brace stay dryer, longer. Thanks, you've made wearing a brace TONS more pleasant.

I have been wearing wrist/thumb braces for several years now, using different brands over time. The universal problem with all of them was that they made my skin hot, damp and smelly. They eventually chafed me, and they got quite dirty. I tried using Ace bandages underneath, and also tried "tube" cloth from a medical supply store. Nothing stayed in place or helped with the heat. I stumbled onto the Bracesox website by accident, and what a find! This product is amazing! It wicks moisture, makes my skin more comfortable and keeps the brace much cleaner. The brace surface doesn't bother my skin anymore. I like that I can wear the seam on the outside for extra comfort. This product should be available through every physical therapist and orthopedic office.

I have been using a brace (well 2 actually...to prevent injury to my other knee) for over 3 years now. When I first had to wear them, I found it very difficult for the braces to stay in one place due to the physical activities I was going through (football, wrestling, track...) Then my father and I came across your Bracesox product, and decided to trying out... We needed something other than the bits of cloth we were cutting out to try and cover my leg with. Well they worked wonderfully. The sox remained in place during football games and didn't bunch up, and even kept my braces in place, despite all the contact and weather conditions. The same went for the wrestling and track. I'd just like to thank you for creating this product and making my life a whole lot easier while dealing with these braces. I'm sure I will be coming back to you for the years of college football that are coming up too. Thank you again.  :)

I have been wearing a Donjoy Defiance brace for 6 months now, mainly for sports and hiking. I looked for a better sleeve for my leg because the neoprene one that came with my brace was no fun at all. It would bunch up at the knee joint and cause my brace to slip down while playing. I was always yanking it up or having to stop for a minute to reposition my brace. It was also very hot and itchy, and my leg was soaked from perspiration. So as a result, I would not wear the sleeve, which was fine for a while, but eventually the strap in the back just above my knee (strap #3 for all you Defiance bracers) would scrape and chaff my skin away. So I called Bracesox and found out that they recently became a supplier for Donjoy. I was able to call my Donjoy rep and request one. I got it last week! It is great! It is a huge improvement over the one that comes standard with the defiance brace. It doesn't bind up and it really does "manage moisture," just like the website says! It is great to be able to protect my skin and still feel comfortable. I'm never going back to neoprene.

Several weeks ago I ordered a pair of Bracesox because the CoolMax brace sleeve I was wearing was very uncomfortable (and very hot -- CoolMax has a small percentage of rubber and that doesn't help in really warm weather) I ordered the supplex/lycra Bracesox (with a lot of help from Anne, the president, to get the correct material the correct size) the Bracesox has been much more comfortable (and much cooler) than the CoolMax sleeve. However, I had trouble keeping the Bracesox up (the sleeve and brace kept sliding down). I contacted Anne and she suggested we try a smaller size and perhaps try the cotton/lycra instead. Now, everything is great!

I would suggest that if your brace stick to your skin (mine actually tore some skin off) or feels uncomfortable (particularly in the heat) to investigate some sort of brace sleeve. I have been really happy with the Bracesox (and Anne was a great help!) I have to wear my brace pretty much any time I am up walking around and without a brace sleeve, it would be really miserable. The biggest problem I have is making sure I get them washed so I always have a clean one to wear!

Dear Anne,

Thank you so much for being so quick to send my Bracesox. I called my insurance co, they need a letter of medical necessity from the doctor. As soon as they approve I will order more. I only have to decide what size.

I really like the way it feels.

You should have your product at the Abilities Expo.

Many thanks!

Hi Anne,

It was nice to speak to you. Thank you for the discount for Ref. Ron G.

Now I am taking the pen and the card you enclosed to the center that is doing my rehab.

If you have a good product (and you do) then old marketing people never retire.

Thanks

I wear my brace for arthritis and a mcl injury for support. I have just been wearing my Bracesox for a short time, but it is very comfortable. I have a brace made out of neoprene and I am allergic to it. I will be getting a new brace very soon, but I will still continue to wear the Bracesox for comfort. Thank you for a great product.

Braced for: RSD of left leg. I wear my brace for: to be able to walk without a wheel chair. Hours of use per day: 24 per day

If it wasn't for Bracesox I would be in a wheel chair because having anything rubbing against my skin is unbearable. This keeps it covered and from clothing sheets and temperature changes. I've been wearing them since about 2000 and I have to say Thank you for such a wonderful product.

Thanks.
